My Stop Motion Project

Hello my great audience! One day, my amazing teacher told the class something: we were starting a stop motion project! You might be wondering, what on earth is stop motion? Click HERE for a video all about it. This project linked our learning about stop motion with our work on the book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. (read the book! After you read my blog of course.)

Me and my group, Lyla and Jeremy,  (They have blogs on this from their own blogs too!)  did quite a few things before the filming. First, we had to decide what scene of the book to do. We chose Brightbill Hatching. Next, we had to figure out what happens and how it happens in the stop motion video. This is my filled template:

After that, we had to plan our script and what our video will sound like. We quoted the book as per my great teacher’s instructions and it sounded good in the end. Here is the script:

Now we were told to design our set. We tried to make it look like it was in a tree. We were not sure we’d have everything we did have so our set design may look a little dull, it looked like a tree to me. Here is a photo of how we thought it would look:

Once finished, we had to make our set and characters. While Lyla did the set, I did the characters out of clay because she is allergic. The thing we added to the set that we didn’t think we would have were the branches.

Now we filmed everything, added the credits, sound effects, voiceovers, and music, we downloaded it. Here is the video:

Now that I was done, I will show you my honest review and write another one for you.

My honest review of my work is that I liked it, I loved the set, planning and filming, but I think  the characters should have been better. here are the pictures of my other self assessment.
