פרשת כי תשא

Today, in Jewish studies we learnt about the golden calf in Parashat Ki Tisa. The jews were worshipping a golden calf and thus going against Hashem himself. Of course, He was angry. And by angry I mean REALLY ANGRY! Moses came down from mount Sinai and was absolutely furious, but he cooled his head and prayed on behalf of his people. Hashem said they were forgiven a long as they displayed good characteristics. This can still be applied today. After all, the Jews didn’t mean any harm themselves, because at heart they were well, Jews! Their behaviors and characteristics didn’t match up! After all, you show behaviors, but characteristics show you. This also goes for some people. Instead of immediately judging people by their actions, ask why did you do that? Then you are seeing more than just the tip of the iceberg. People have different characteristics, good and bad. For example, Some characteristics my friends have labeled me as kind and intelligent. By some, I have been called antisocial. Some characteristics can change, and some stay for life. Just try to realize your mistakes and bad characteristics so you can change and grow as a person.

hope you enjoyed!
