Today in math, we did a fractions review. I knew what the rest of the class was learning, so I decided to do some enrichment work involving these fascinating fractions.

Five Fascinating Fraction Facts

So you don’t get lost, here are five fascinating facts about fractions:

1. Fractions are pieces of a number.
2. There are 4 types of fractions, zero, proper, whole, and improper fractions.
3. You can add fractions together.
4. A fraction comes in two parts, the numerator, or the top number, and the denominator, the bottom number.
5. multiplying or dividing a fraction doesn’t change it’s value if you multiply the numerator and denominator

What I Did

I applied my knowledge of fractions to this type of square.

It is like sudoku, but instead of not repeating numbers, each possible line has to add up to the magic number on top.
